An event has a time frame. Posting something like "Karaoke every Friday" does not constitute an event unless you set the begining date and ending date as the same day."Karaoke every friday" we consider a listing. (go back and click "add listing") Unlike listings, an event will disappear after the ending date has passed.

If you have a weekly contest- for example you award a $20 bar tab to the best singer every Tuesday you can put that in here as well, but again you will have to set the begining date and ending date to the same day.

Extra city: If your event is easy driving distance from another city you can add that city. (It will show up in the upper left corner of that city as well as the city the event is in). Do not put a large city in this field that is far away just to get exposure. It will be removed.
